What to look for when buying an Auger

These auger bits are pretty simple as I am sure you have worked out, but there are a few things you need to take into consideration before you go out and buy one

Check which drills the auger drill bit is compatible with, as if you already own a drill then you want to get one that fits it. This shouldn't really be an issue for the majority of drills as most auger drill bits are made to fit in 3/8-inch drills or larger. It’s also better, if you are using a cordless drill, that the drill has a minimum of 14 volts.

Next make sure the auger is made of good quality steel that preferably is fully coated. If you have very stoney ground you might want to spend a bit extra and get something really strong.

Size matters, so make sure you get one big enough for your needs. I tend to get a larger sized one as it will work for most holes.

I hope this has been some help to you in finding the auger that you need.

I am someone who enjoys a little gardening. Now I am not someone who spend hours in the garden, but I do like both my front and back gardens to look really nice. Well kept lawns, neatly trimmed hedges, and borders filled with plants, make a huge difference, to how your property looks.
