Value for Money
This is sold with battery and charger, so as we mentioned earlier, so this is excellent value for money. With a lot of the other trimmers you have to buy a battery and charger seperately, so this is quite an advantage.
This complete trimmer package is on average £130. Also, going forward, if you like to own and use high quality tools like Bosch, then a whole range of cordless tools can be used with the same battery and charger.
At this price then, you have to think this is very reasonable.
Battery Life
You can use the Bosch 5Ah batteries and it has excellent life. It will last for around an 2.5 hours without needing a charge.
This of course will depend on the thickness of the hedge, but as a general guideline, you will get at least 2 hours of trimming with this battery. It will then take an hour to get it back to fully charged
Ease of Use
The Bosch is equipped with a pivoting head that will go through 135 degrees. This is great for cutting the top of the hedge. The pole extends from 2-2.5M so it will cut up to a good height. The blade is double sided and will cut through your hedge with ease both ways.
We found that this hedge trimmer will easily cut until you get up to branches around 1.5cm in diameter. After that you will need to use a saw or lopper. The Spear and Jackson Telescopic Lopper is particularly good for that type of heavier branch work.

The Blade
The blade length on this is 43cm (just under 17") so not a huge length, but big enough for most hedges and really you can't go much longer with an extending trimmer as they just become too hard to use.
