Value for Money
This is sold with battery and charger, so as we mentioned earlier, so this is excellent value for money. With a lot of the other trimmers you have to buy a battery and charger seperately, so this is quite an advantage.
This complete trimmer package is on average £80. Also, going forward, if you like to own and use high quality tools like Bosch, then a whole range of cordless tools can be used with the same battery and charger.
At this price then, you have to think this is very reasonable.
Battery Life
You can use the Bosch 12V batteries and they have excellent life. It will last for around an 1 hour without needing a charge.
This of course will depend on the thickness of the hedge, but as a general guideline, you will get at least an hour of trimming with this battery. It will then take around an hour to get it back to fully charged
Ease of Use
This hedge cutter is extremely light and provides cordless mobility with maximum power. The 350 mm blade length, 20 mm tooth opening and the electronic “Anti-Blocking System” ensures you’ve got the right garden tool to get the job done
We found that this hedge trimmer will easily cut until you get up to branches around 1.5cm in diameter. After that you will need to use a saw or lopper. The Spear and Jackson Telescopic Lopper is particularly good for that type of heavier branch work.

The Blade
The blade length on this is 35cm (just under 14") so not a huge width, but big enough for most hedges. The blade is sharp and coated to stop it from sticking, and the blades are very easy to replace should you ever need to.

At 1,350 strokes per minute, this is fast and will quickly trim hedges. This trimmer cuts on both sides which you will find extremely handy.
The Battery Life
We have already explained this above, but Bosch hedge trimmers have some of the longest battery life of any of the branded hedge trimmers. This particular model is entry level and we found that you get around 45 mins of use from it. The more expensive ones will easily do twice this but it just depends on what you need.

It's very hard to fault this cheaper model cordless hedge trimmer. Most buyers got this to replace an old petrol model and they were amazed at how well it worked. The battery is good, it is a two handed operation that cuts on both sides and will go through branches up to 1.5cm.
It's not the biggest model , it's not the most powerful, nor does it have the best battery but you get exactly what you are paying for. An excellent unit thats great for smaller hedges and it's reasonable price for a complete kit.
