This model also has grass combs that cut right up to and over the edge. Cutting Width
This is the width of grass that a mower can cut with one single pass. The width primarily determines the speed at which you can cut your grass at. The larger the width the quicker you can cut your grass, as you will have to do fewer passes. This model has a standard 34 cm cutting width, which is ideal for small to medium sized lawns.
Cutting Height
Most mowers will have a range of cutting heights. With the 34R model those are between 20-70 mm. (0.8 - 2.75"). The height is adjusted by moving a single lever into one of 5 different settings. Our Verdict on the Rotak 34R Model?
For a small to medium sized garden, this rotary mower is one of the biggest sellers on the UK market. It can handle grass that is about 3" in height, and is also good for general lawn mowing throughout the year. This is a good enough mower for a small to medium sized garden at an affordable price point. The mower is also light, easy to move around, and the mower is powerful enough to get the job done.
This mower is good for use as adjusting the cutting height is easy, assembly is straightforward and even sharpening the blade is also pretty easy. We do however believe that the switch mechanism, and the associated lever is a bad design that can break. They are easy and cheap to replace, but still a poor design.
