Value for Money
This is sold with battery and charger, so as we mentioned earlier, so this is excellent value for money. With a lot of the other trimmers you have to buy a battery and charger seperately, so this is quite an advantage.
This complete trimmer package is on average £90. Also, going forward, if you like to own and use high quality tools like Netta, then a whole range of cordless tools can be used with the same battery and charger.
At this price then, you have to think this is very reasonable.
Battery Life
This model takes a 18V/20V battery and that gives it a bit of extra power. The battery supplied looks small but will give you around 60 minutes of trimming and it takes an hour to charge back up again.
On the whole this might be perfectly fine if you have a small hedge and I know this is not one of the most expensive models but I would still like to get at least an hour to 90 minutes from any of these trimmers.
Ease of Use
The Netta trimmer is equipped with 2 handed operation switch; the motor will only be activated when the switch and top handle are engaged. Once you have mastered this then it's just press and go, couldn't be any easier. The blade is double sided and will cut through your hedge with ease both ways.
We found that this hedge trimmer will easily cut until you get up to branches around 1.5cm in diameter. After that you will need to use a saw or lopper. The Spear and Jackson Telescopic Lopper is particularly good for that type of heavier branch work.
Important Basic Features
Most people just want a trimmer that will take care of their hedges. The beauty of a cordless hedge trimmer is that you can use it anywhere, and you never have to worry about accidentally cutting through another electric lead again. (If you have ever done that, you know what we mean!)
The Blade
The blade length on this is 51cm (just under 20") so not a huge width, but big enough for most hedges. The blade is sharp and coated to stop it from sticking, and the blades are very easy to replace should you ever need to.
The Cutting Stroke Speed
At 1,350 strokes per minute, this is fast and will quickly trim hedges. This trimmer cuts on both sides which you will find extremely handy.
The Battery Life

The casing is strong, sturdy and built to last. The stain free shear blade is nickel plating with a high anti-abrasion surface for long lasting coating.
Anti-Vibration
The Netta features a good anti-vibration system.There are cushions which are designed to absorb vibration from the blade and motor crank section. This means it's much easier to use for long periods of time and you won't get tired as quickly. Most other hedge trimmers don't have this type of technology so it's a great feature that sets this model above the rest.
Flexibility
The 2.4M extending pole and adjustable head make this model stand out from the smaller models. You can easily face high hedges and the blade will angle through 150 degrees to let you cut flat along the top. No ladders or steps required with this model.

It's very hard to look past this Netta cordless hedge trimmer. Most buyers got this to replace an old petrol model and they were amazed at how well it worked. The battery is brilliant, it is a two handed operation that cuts on both sides and will go through branches up to 1.5cm.
It is suited to small or medium sized garden hedges as it will cut for around 60 minutes, depending on the style and thickness. This will suit a lot of users but I would need a bit more cutting time myself.
I can recommend this model for ease of use and cutting capability. Also the build quality is great, just make sure that cutting time is long enough for you

Netta Brand
The Netta brand is a supplier of Home, Kitchen, DIY and gardening products. They offer a 1 year warranty on products sold through their own website, and also through their resellers that include Amazon (Netta Store) and eBay.
The have several brands which are Netta Home, Sunmer and Warmer. With reference to gardening tools, they currently stock leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, shrubber kits and chain saws.
They are a PLC based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. We couldn't find a phone number or email contact. They do have a customer support page where you can leave a message or comment.
I cannot get my netta cordless to work.ive charged it.is it red or green light which says its charging.
When did you purchase your trimmer Christine?
Only had my Netta telescopic hedge trimmer a year and now the battery is dead, cannot get a replacement battery anywhere.
A green and a red light come on together, but like mine when battery is dead only the red light comes on.
