Key Features
With any strimmer, there are typically a number of key features, and we have shown those below.
Cutting Width
This is the width of grass that a strimmer can cut without moving. The width primarily determines the speed at which you can cut your grass at. The larger the width the quicker you can cut your grass, as you will have to do fewer passes. This model has a 30 cms, which is ideal for small to medium sized lawns.
Automatic line feed
Bosch market this strimmer as " certified hassle free"and that is because of the automatic twin line feed. This means there is no messing around with tangled spool lines; once the spool is finished you just put a new one in. This system works extremely well and is a major bonus with this model.
Compact and Powerful
This Bosch model is one of the lightest strimmers on the UK market. That makes it easy to move around and easy to store. The480w motor puts out plenty of power and cuts through grass with ease.
The Bosch Brand (Gardening)
Bosch are of course a very well known tool brand. Aside from their high quality tools, they also make a wide range of gardening tools. These range from lawnmowers, lawn rakers, verticutters, trimmers, hedge cutters, chainsaws, leaf blowers shredders and multi-tool systems.
They are a German brand and their garden products are very popular with many UK gardeners. They have 40 locations spread across the UK with over 5,000 employees. In the UK they generate annual revenues of around £3.5 Billion, with the UK being their second largest market.
Our Verdict on the Bosch ART30 Strimmer
This trimmer has been around for a while now and remains a popular choice with UK buyers. This is a good choice for anyone with a medium to larger type of garden. It is powerful and gets through grass and weeds easily enough. It has all the right features, but we would not recommend this model for heavy duty cutting as the line is simply too thin.
This trimmer has a good warranty of 2 years, which can be extended to 3 years when you register online. Bosch also offer a good support and service in the UK. They also have spares available, especially the line spools, and that of course is an important requirement.
